A Croatia elopement.
A quiet ceremony for two, somewhere on the Adriatic. On a boat, on a cliff, in a stone courtyard. Planned in English, held wherever it feels right.
An elopement in Croatia is the smallest, quietest version of what we do. Two people, an officiant, sometimes a photographer, sometimes a witness. The rest of the day belongs entirely to you: a long lunch on a terrace, a swim, the first evening as a married couple in a village you'd never heard of two months ago.
What this looks like
- A short ceremony in the place that fits you — a boat, a cliff, a courtyard
- Symbolic or legally binding; we walk you through either
- Photography by someone we've worked with before, if you want it
- Dinner reservation somewhere quiet, so the evening isn't planned to the minute
- Two or three days of rough guidance around the wedding day itself — where to eat, where to swim, what to skip
How we plan it
We keep it small on purpose. One or two calls, a short list of suggested places based on your dates, and then the practical bits: officiant, transfers, a florist if you'd like one, a photographer if you'd like one. Because it's just for two, decisions move fast.
Why Croatia
Because the coast is still uncrowded in the shoulder seasons, and because a hundred stone islands means you can find a bay that will be yours for the afternoon. If you're picking between countries first, our overview page is a good next stop.
Common questions
What exactly is an elopement, and how is it different from a small wedding?
For us: an elopement is just the two of you, or the two of you plus one or two witnesses. Everything is built around that intimacy — no guest list, no dinner for thirty, no schedule that isn't yours. A small wedding still has family; an elopement doesn't have to.
Is an elopement in Croatia legally binding?
It can be. The paperwork works the same as for any wedding in Croatia — a certificate of no impediment from your home country, translated and legalised, plus a short registry appointment. We handle the coordination. Many couples we work with prefer to sign at home and keep the day in Croatia symbolic; either is fine.
Can it just be the two of us?
Yes, entirely. We arrange a witness on your behalf if the legal version is what you want. Otherwise it's you, an officiant, and whoever else you invited into the day — often the photographer and no one else.
Where do people elope?
The most common settings: a boat at sunset, a cliff on Vis, a stone terrace on Hvar, or a hidden cove reached by tender. We suggest two or three that fit your dates and mood — you don't have to know the place already.

A few sentences are enough. We'll take it from there.
